It’s on! Under the Gums 2023 is set to be epic. Full of live music, food, brews, dancing and all-round good vibes. UTG23 will light up the banks of the Castlereagh, the perfect spot to kick back with a cold brew or two served up by the local legends from our country pubs and some street food from the red hot foodies of the region. Whether you’re from back roads or beach tracks, grab your crew and kick up your boots, UTG23 is for you!

Gilgandra Shuttle Service!

Buses will take you where you need to with pick up locations throughout Gilgandra from 3pm-7pm, with return shuttles from the event between 9pm-11pm. See pick-up / drop off locations below

Travel return from Dubbo!

Book your seat on the bus leaving Dubbo at 4.30pm from the Dubbo Visitor Information Centre, returning after the event! Bus add-ons can be purchased from 123Tix when securing your event ticket!

Gilgandra sits on the junction of three major highways (Newell, Castlereagh and Oxley). We’re only a 45 minute drive from Dubbo and 5 ½ hours from Sydney. The nearest airport and train station are in Dubbo and then we’re a short drive or bus ride away. Travel safe - we can’t wait to see you under the gums in 2023!

Where is the Under the Gums event being held?

The Under the Gums event will be held on the banks of the Castlereagh River, in the Gilgandra Cultural Precinct, next to the Coo-ee Heritage & Visitor Information Centre. 6452 Newell hwy, Gilgandra.

I don’t want to Level Up (paid ticket), do I still need to book a ticket via 123TIX?

Yes you do. General Admission tickets are FREE! All attendees are required to have a ticket to enter the grounds. Get your tickets today via 123TIX!

Are you able to bring your own chairs?

Yes, you are able to bring your own chairs, in both the General Access area & in the Level Up area.

Are children allowed in the Level Up area?

Yes, this is a child friendly event

What is included in the Level Up ticket?

Included in your ticket is: secured area to front of stage, access to your very own bar, food stall, merch, and amenities!

Where in Gilgandra can I buy a ticket, if I don’t want to purchase one online?

Coo-ee Heritage & Visitor Information Centre, Service NSW, Gilgandra Library, or any Gilgandra Shire Council’s admin locations.

Will there be markets at this event?

Yes, the Gilgandra CWA Evening Branch will be hosting markets at the UTG event from 3-6PM, if you would like to have a stall contact Jane at 0408 466 124, or Hilda at 0427 471 270

Is UTG pet-friendly?

For this event, dogs and pets are not permitted within the event grounds.

If you would still like to bring along your furry friend, there are a few pet friendly motels in Gilgandra. The Windmill Walk and Hunter Park is also a great location for them to stretch their legs - noting the off-leash area is located on the northern side of the Coo-ee Heritage Centre, along the Windmill Walk heading into the CBD.
